How PADS4 helps saves lives for The Royal Flying Doctor Service

We are excited to announce The Royal Flying Doctor Service(RFDS), one of the largest and most comprehensive aeromedical organizations in the world, included PADS4 in their AV solution in their newly built South Australian headquarters. RFDS provides extensive primary health care and 24-hour emergency service to people over an area of 7.3 million square kilometers.

The Royal Flying Doctor Service has built a new South Australian headquarters with aircraft hangars on the western side of the Adelaide Airport. Within contains the management, and incident rooms for the South Australian operations. NDS partner Pro AV Solutions, supplied extensive AV throughout the building, including 75” interactive panels, and a number of smaller 55” displays.

Interactive digital dashboards to improve health care services

PADS4 was chosen to display information within the incident room, including real-time aircraft tracking, emergency services information and incident timing. By adding interactivity Pro AV allows mapping services within the displays.

“PADS4’s versatility allows us to be confident in when we put together solutions they work. In this case PADS4 was critical in allowing the combination of information and interactivity to be used in critical environments.” – Gayan Dias, Pro AV Solutions

Next to the interactive digital dashboards, 19 Samsung 10” displays are being deployed throughout the building to display time and incident critical information. These displays will utilize the PADS4 HTML5 Viewers via the built-in SoC players. PADS4 provides real-time critical incident updates to a total of 45 displays and plays a crucial role in the RFDS emergency service.
